Ms. Stottland ran a successful law practice for years and most recently would also make contract appearances for a prominent San Diego law firm.  I personally observed Ms. Stottland in court many times and would not have been able to distinguish her performance from that of the attorney's of record.

All of the judges across San Diego knew her and respected her work because she was always prepared and professional.

Most recently, I saw her on April 8, 2011 in Dep't 14 of East County Court with Judge Sturgeon.  She had brought her grandson that day who would get such a kick out of watching her in action.  She seemed healthy then and did a great job.  Her sudden, tragic loss will be felt not only among those who knew and cared about her, but also throughout the entire San Diego legal community as well .

Her funeral will take place at El Camino, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd., Sorrento Valley on Sunday June 26, 2011 @ 1:30pm
